Apple yanks antivirus advice from its Web site

Apple has yanked a controversial support document from its Web site that urged Mac users to run antivirus software, saying the advice -- which runs counter to past claims about security -- was inaccurate. A researcher promptly hit Apple for a lack of transparency.
