All Friday morning and afternoon, the sun was blocked by a slate-colored sky that cast a moody pall over metro Detroit. And then, about the time hundreds and then thousands of people streamed into the streets of Pontiac for Chrysler Arts, Beats & Eats, the sun punched a hole of pale blue into that sky. And then several holes, until no gray remained.
