WHILE SA's youngest party remains nameless, it announced yesterday that it was set to contest upcoming by-elections in Western Cape following the axing of ward councillors by the African National Congress (ANC) after they joined the new formation.

South African President and Chairperson of the Southern African Development Communtiy, President Kgalema Motlanthe today, Wednesday 5 November 2008 conveyed the warm congratulations of the government and people of South Africa, the SADC region and on his own behalf, to Senator Barack Obama on his election as the President-elect of the United States of America.
