Closing Bell: Flea Hard With a Vengeance

Time 05.09.2008 14:21 Source  brownstoner.com

After a surprisingly strong August, this weekend is shaping up to be the biggest flea since opening day. We're fully booked with a great mix of regulars, newbies and some returning folks who took the summer off. If you dig mid-century office furniture, you'll want to stop by the booth put together by SMC Furnishings; word is it'll be jam-packed with pieces from Knoll and Steelcase. Speaking of furniture, October will be furniture month at the Flea. Stay tuned for more info. And next weekend, get ready for the Superstar DJ Record Fair at which many local DJ's will be spinning and selling their collections. The Flea runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday; it's located at 176 Lafayette Avenue in Brooklyn; no bikes or dogs allowed in the market. Closest trains are the C and G to Washington/Clinton. Or you can take any of the number of trains that go to Atlantic Station and walk up Lafayette Avenue from there. For more info, check out the Flea Blog.
