Lyme disease may play a role in causing autism according to a recent study published in Medical Hypothesis, a peer-reviewed scientific journal. A team of five physicians led by Robert Bransfield, M.D., analyzed the two diseases and discovered a connection based on epidemiological findings, symptom similarities, case reports, and laboratory test results. Several abstracts focused on the male sling for post-prostatectomy incontinence (PPI). Dr Walter and colleagues (Abstract 1497, data updated from publication) reported a series of 49 men undergoing AdVance sling for PPI. Post-operatively >85% of patients required 0-1 pads/day, with 24h pad weights improving from 264 to 44 grams.

ORLANDO, FL (UroToday.com) - Tolterodine and an alpha blocker provides superior relief from urgency and frequency compared to either medication alone. In addition, initial results from the ComBAT trial were presented. The combination of a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor and an alpha blocker is superior to either one alone at the 2 year mark. Tadalafil at either the 5, 10, or 20mg dose provides LUTS relief. On average, patients had a 4.0 to 5.0 point improvement in their AUASS.

A prospective, randomized, double-blind trial that was designed to objectively assess the true effect of shock wave therapy (SWT) on PD. A total of 39 men were recruited for the trail, 19 men received SWT, 20 acted as controls. Each patient received 6 weekly treatments of either SWT or sham.
